Join Jobs Australia and other like-minded not for profit organisations in drilling down on what has worked and what hasn’t worked within the sector, what our vision for a better future is and what we as not for profit organisations can do right now. We will continue to build on our collective successes and ensure a sustainable not for profit services industry that better meets the needs of all stakeholders and changes the lives of the most marginalised in our communities.

The conference theme for the 2020 Jobs Australia Conference “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” not only gives Members and delegates the opportunity to reflect on the history of the not for profit sector, but also allows Members to look forward to the future. With Jobs Australia having just ticked over 30 years, internally the values and lessons from yesteryear and the opportunities for the future, fundamentally sit at the forefront of all work undertaken for Members.

Entering a digital era like no other this decade, the likes of Futurist Dr Peter Ellyard author of Designing 2050, The Happiness Hacker Penny Locaso and Social Media expert Mel Kettle author of The Social Association will walk through the learnings from the past and how the digital era and future can be embraced by all organisations, large or small.

Not only will Jobs Australia take Members on a journey into the future, our keynote speakers such as Steve Simpson will unlock your way of thinking around the fundamentals of HR ground rules. Well regarded journalist Stan Grant whose Aboriginal heritage has helped him form a resilience like no other will share his story focussing on the political and social changes and challenges of Indigenous Australians. Couple this with Nyadol Nyuon, a commercial litigator and community advocate. Discussing human rights, multiculturalism, the settlement of refugees and those seeking asylum, delegates are assured of a suite of key messages to take back to the workplace.

Concurrent sessions and workshops will allow Members to take former learnings from within their organisation and create a more sustainable future for the employment and community sector in the not for profit landscape. Creating a strong future allows the great work to continue by Members for those most marginalised.
